107th Conference of Grand Masters: A Powerful Reminder of the Impact of KOP

At the 107th Conference of Grand Masters, over 400 attendees gathered to represent their respective jurisdictions. Among those in attendance were State KOP Directors representing 13 jurisdictions. During the conference, we conducted National Knights of Pythagoras business sessions and were honored to have several Grand Lodge Officers from other jurisdictions attend informational sessions to learn more about the KOP program. Our State Directors were present to assist and share the vision and work being accomplished across the jurisdictions.

In addition, National President Michael Simms provided an update to all Grand Masters on the many positive initiatives and accomplishments taking place throughout the National Knights of Pythagoras program. Committee reports were also presented on the National Parent Club, National Youth Council, and the final report from the successful 2025 National KOP Conference.

One of the highlights of the conference was hearing the opening remarks and personal testimony from Grand Master Knight Messiah A.L. Welch from the Jurisdiction of Illinois. He was introduced by Grand Knight Director of statewide initiations, King Hutchinson. Although Grand Master Knight Welch spoke for only about ten minutes, the room sat in complete silence and awe as he shared his story and reflected on what KOP has meant to him. His powerful message reminded all of us why we continue this important work; investing in young men, building leaders, and shaping futures.
