Q&A Session: Annual Report & Council Portal

The NCKOP Leadership will be hosting a  Q&A Session  on  Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM . The purpose of this session is to make ourselves available to address any questions related to the completion and submission of the  2025 Annual Report , as well as how to access and use the  Council Portal . Introduction of PM Jerrell Knight to the NC Knights of Pythagoras Leadership Team

On behalf of the NC Knights of Pythagoras, I am honored to introduce and welcome PM Jerrell Knight to the leadership team as the Assistant Grand Knight Director for Knight Development & Programs. A dedicated member of Saint Johns Lodge 12 and Walter Gilmore Council 35, Jerrell has been actively involved in the KOP program since 2013. His leadership experience includes serving as Worshipful Master in 2021 and leading his local council from 2014 to 2019. Even beyond his tenure in these roles, Jerrell continues to provide unwavering support and mentorship to the Knights in his council, reinforcing his commitment to the growth and success of our program. In his new role, PM Knight will oversee Knight Development and Programs, assisting all 46 active councils within our jurisdiction in implementing the 12 obligatory initiatives throughout the year. Introduction of PM Arthur Gibson to the NC Knights of Pythagoras Leadership Team

On behalf of the NC Knights of Pythagoras, I am pleased to welcome PM Arthur Gibson as the Assistant Grand Knight Director for the Piedmont Region. A dedicated member of Macedonia Lodge 629, Arthur has been actively involved in the KOP program since 2021. However, his support for youth development began long before his official role, as he has consistently mentored and empowered young men. He has played a key role in supporting Macedonia Council 60 by organizing meetings and leading impactful community initiatives. In his new position, Arthur will oversee regional activities, communications, and provide guidance to 20 active councils throughout the Piedmont region, ensuring their continued growth and success. As we observe National Mentoring Month, we reflect on the profound impact mentors have on shaping the lives of youth. Since 1958, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of North Carolina has sponsored and supported the North Carolina Council Order of Knights of Pythagoras. A mentoring program for boys between the ages of 8 to 18. Together they have championed mentorship, empowering young men to succeed. This initiative, rooted in Prince Hall Masonry, has transformed the lives of hundreds across North Carolina, guiding them to become lawyers, engineers, healthcare professionals, military officers, and more. NCKOP Executive Leadership - 2025 Enhancement Goals & Guide

This past Sunday, the Executive Leadership of the North Carolina Council Order of the Knights of Pythagoras convened to discuss and develop the 2025 KOP Program Enhancement Plan. During the meeting, we reviewed and clarified the roles and responsibilities of all positions at both the state and regional levels. Additionally, we focused on the operations and programming that drive NCKOP's mission. Our discussion centered around two primary objectives for 2025: Assess and refine current roles and operations to improve program effectiveness. Enhance retention of Advisors, Councils, and Knights while expanding outreach to youth, Brothers, and parents. We also explored ways to strengthen the mentoring program to better support our youth, Advisors, and the parents who are integral to its success. Joint Adult and Youth Planning Meeting - Summary

Hello NCKOP, We had a highly productive joint planning meeting for the 2025 year with the Knights and Gleaners. Plans are well underway to ensure we have in-person regional days in all four regions, as well as a joint youth assemblage that will unite all our youth for the 50th Annual Assemblage. This milestone event promises to be one to remember, bringing together youth from across our jurisdiction, past and present, for what will truly be a "Homecoming" affair. Following the joint planning session, we held a productive meeting for Advisors and Knights, where we reviewed important updates related to regional days, the annual assemblage, the National KOP Conference, and the new procedures for submitting annual reports in 2025.
