Joint Adult and Youth Planning Meeting - Summary

Hello NCKOP,

We had a highly productive joint planning meeting for the 2025 year with the Knights and Gleaners. Plans are well underway to ensure we have in-person regional days in all four regions, as well as a joint youth assemblage that will unite all our youth for the 50th Annual Assemblage. This milestone event promises to be one to remember, bringing together youth from across our jurisdiction, past and present, for what will truly be a "Homecoming" affair.

Following the joint planning session, we held a productive meeting for Advisors and Knights, where we reviewed important updates related to regional days, the annual assemblage, the National KOP Conference, and the new procedures for submitting annual reports in 2025. Below is a summary of the key updates:

  1. Regional Days

    • All regional days will be held in person this year. Regional Directors and Chairs are actively planning to ensure each event is well-organized and impactful.
    • Registration for regional days remains $7 per person.
    • Locations for the events will be announced soon by your Regional Director.
  2. 50th Annual Assemblage

  3. National KOP Conference

    • North Carolina is honored to host the first National KOP Conference under the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of NC.
    • Scheduled July 24-27, 2025
    • Leaders and youth from across the Conference of Grand Masters will gather at the Embassy Suites (4800 S. Tryon Road, Charlotte, NC 28217).
    • Registration is $175 per person, with a negotiated room rate of $169 per night. https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/clttyes-910-3dde5581-0549-4e22-8b19-91577b67c7e8/
    • Book early if you wish to stay at the host hotel. Further details will be shared soon.
  4. Annual Reports

    • All councils must submit their annual reports by January 31, 2025 through the online Council Portal. Paper reports will no longer be accepted.
    • Two training sessions on using the Council Portal have already been held. To gain access, contact your Regional Director, who will arrange a training session and provide access credentials. Early action is encouraged to avoid delays or late submissions.

We hope this summary provides a clear overview of the key points discussed during Saturday’s meeting. If you have any questions about these updates, please reach out to your Regional Director for assistance.

Thank you for your commitment to making 2025 a year of excellence for the NC Knights of Pythagoras!
