Macedonia Council #60 attends St. John’s Day Service

Image
Today, the Brothers of Macedonia Council 60 attended church services together in recognition of St. John’s Day. Dressed in their black suits and aprons, the Knights of Macedonia Council 60 represented with pride and unity during the St. John’s Day observance in Rockingham, North Carolina. They were joined in fellowship by Assistant Grand Knight Directors Arthur Gibson and Julius Hinson, District Deputy Grand Master (District 23), and Knight Advisor Eric Hooker. A special acknowledgment goes to DDGM Hooker, whose unwavering support for the Knights of Pythagoras was clearly demonstrated. Under his leadership, all the lodges in District 23 came together to purchase each Knight a brand-new suit. Now that is support! It’s always a powerful sight to see our Knights and Brothers united in tradition, service, and brotherhood.

At the 2025 Conference of Grand Masters, National Knights of Pythagoras President Michael Simms (TX), National Secretary Robert Hassell (NC), and National Education Committee Chair Dr. Claiborne (MD) presented the National KOP Report. The report included key updates on national education initiatives and preparations for the upcoming National KOP Conference, scheduled for July 24–27, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. During the conference, the national leadership also engaged with several jurisdictions interested in launching Knights of Pythagoras programs, offering guidance and support to help expand the reach and impact of KOP nationwide. In summary, the National Knights of Pythagoras is strong. We currently have 33 jurisdictions with active councils—and that number continues to grow. We are deeply appreciative of the hard work and commitment each State Director contributes to ensuring this program remains available and impactful for our young men. Their efforts help shape futu...

Easter Message from NCKOP

Image
On behalf of the North Carolina Council of the Knights of Pythagoras, I extend warm Easter greetings to each of you. Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and hope. For many, it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ—a powerful reminder of love, sacrifice, and the promise of new beginnings. As we celebrate today, may we all be inspired by the spirit of faith, unity, and the light that guides our paths. “He is not here, but is risen…” — Luke 24:6 Whether you are spending this day in worship, with family, or in quiet reflection, may it be filled with peace, gratitude, and purpose. Wishing you all a blessed and uplifting day. — Robert Hassell,  Grand Knights of Pythagoras Director (NC)
