Easter Message from NCKOP

Image
On behalf of the North Carolina Council of the Knights of Pythagoras, I extend warm Easter greetings to each of you. Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and hope. For many, it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ—a powerful reminder of love, sacrifice, and the promise of new beginnings. As we celebrate today, may we all be inspired by the spirit of faith, unity, and the light that guides our paths. “He is not here, but is risen…” — Luke 24:6 Whether you are spending this day in worship, with family, or in quiet reflection, may it be filled with peace, gratitude, and purpose. Wishing you all a blessed and uplifting day. — Robert Hassell,  Grand Knights of Pythagoras Director (NC)

Celebrating National Mentoring Month: Honoring Mentors and Their Impact

Image
As we observe National Mentoring Month, we reflect on the profound impact mentors have on shaping the lives of youth. Since 1958, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of North Carolina has sponsored and supported the North Carolina Council Order of Knights of Pythagoras. A mentoring program for boys between the ages of 8 to 18. Together they have championed mentorship, empowering young men to succeed. This initiative, rooted in Prince Hall Masonry, has transformed the lives of hundreds across North Carolina, guiding them to become lawyers, engineers, healthcare professionals, military officers, and more. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Prince Hall Masons and Advisors who have dedicated their time to mentoring young men. Your efforts have left an enduring mark, creating opportunities and inspiring countless success stories. As mentoring.org highlights, youth with mentors are more likely to pursue higher education and achieve their goals, underscoring the importance of yo...
